We staff proceedings in every California county. Where a matter travels beyond the state, we coordinate through vetted affiliates and keep one point of contact, one format standard, and one invoice.
How coverage works
Reporters assigned to the venue, not dispatched at it
Coverage is not the same as presence. Anyone can promise a reporter in a distant county and then scramble the night before. We work from a standing roster of reporters by region, and we confirm the individual who will appear at the time we confirm the setting.
For venues where we do not hold a resident reporter, we say so, and we tell you whether we are covering the date through an affiliate or through travel. You will know which before you notice the deposition, not after.

Remote changes the calculus. For a single witness in a remote county, a hosted remote proceeding is often faster to staff, cheaper, and easier on the witness than moving people across the state. We will tell you when we think remote is the better answer, including when it means a smaller invoice for us.
Out of state testimony. When testimony must be taken outside California, we arrange a reporter licensed or authorised in that jurisdiction, apply our own format and delivery standards to the transcript, and bill it through the same account as the rest of your matter.

Where the proceeding happens
Arranged suite space
Where neither side has suitable space, we book a conference room in the venue city with the equipment the proceeding requires. Room charges are quoted in advance alongside the reporting fees.
Fully remote
A hosted video proceeding with a dedicated attendant, digital exhibits, and breakout rooms. No travel for any participant, and the same certified transcript at the end of it.
Where we are
Century City, and on the road from there
Our office sits at 2049 Century Park East in Los Angeles, a few minutes from the Los Angeles County courthouses and the firms that use them most. From there we staff proceedings the length of the state, and we would rather send a reporter a long way than send a poor one a short way.
